BATESVILLE, Miss. (July 24, 2015) – Merit Health Batesville has announced Batesville native Jennifer Williams will now serve the hospital as the Director of Quality.
Williams will be responsible for the Quality activities for Merit Health Batesville as well as for the ongoing duties of her current role as Director of Employee Health and Infection Control programs.
Williams is a graduate of South Panola and studied undergraduate and pre-nursing at the University of Mississippi. After graduating nursing school from the University of Memphis in 2003, she worked as a mental health tech at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis then started her nursing career t Baptist Desoto. The next career move was to Baptist North Mississippi in the GI lab, then back home to Batesville in 2005 as a staff nurse on Labor and Delivery/Nursery then was promoted to the Director of Women and Children services, over Pediatrics, Labor and Delivery and Nursery.
“Jennifer brings energy, enthusiasm, and a strong history of accomplishments to this position and I look forward to seeing the advances she will drive at our facility,” said hospital CEO Travis Sisson.
Jennifer is married to Sardis native Sam Williams and they have a six-year-old daughter Ada Joyce.
